This entry is probably more serious than you would ever expect from a sarcastic person like myself, but I thought a 'spiritual' blog was needed!
I had an interesting day today, waking up feeling underslept and overwhelmed with just everything. I pretty much had a crappy day, and at lunchtime I told Avery that we needed to bless the food. We both sat at the table and I started the blessing - first I blessed our lunch and then I started asking for guidance, patience, support and help with Primary and everything else going on in my life. I finished the prayer and took a bite of my sandwich when I heard the doorbell. I reluctantly got up and answered the door, still chewing my lunch and thinking about how I could deal with my feelings of anxiety! Then I opened my door and saw a close friend standing there. She was holding a 6 pack of Diet Coke and a cute card. It's amazing how fast a prayer is heard, isn't it? Later this evening, as I drove into my culdesac, I was surprised to see a member of the Bishoprics car in my drive way. He came by to offer me a blessing. I'm just so thankful for people who are in tune with the Spirit. I have felt the love of my Savior through these kind acts of service and love. I'm just so grateful to have had these experiences today and I already feel 'relieved' about the stresses I have felt lately.

Thank you for sharing your experiences Cyd. Life certainly can take its hard turns and that reassurance that we aren't alone is truly the greatest feeling. Here is our blog adress again in case I sent it to you wrong: http://teamgilmore.blogspot.com/. Love you guys!
That's awesome Cyd! Thanks for sharing. It's nice to know that our prayers are heard and answered. We need to get together again with Kristy sometime soon.
I wish I could say that I was the thoughtful one that brought you the diet coke :( ...but I fear that I am the one to cause you extra stress in your calling. I know and really appreciate you picking up my slack in the scouts!!! You are the best friend and leader a girl could ask for.
...thanks for your comment on my blog, I am just getting back to "normal" life now.
Wow. That's really cool! I'm so glad you have good people around you too! Good luck with Primary!
Oh, I'm so glad you shared this. I looove hearing others' uplifting experiences. I am so glad for you that your prayers were heard and that people were there for you. One of my fav quotes by Elder Maxwell was, "Often our prayers are answered by the service of others". So true!
Cydnee it sounds like we need an emergency girls night out.. or you need a Cyd and Rich night out, and an emergency babysitter... let me know which! Jesse works most weekends, so if you want to get away let me know, I'll be glad to go.. or babysit!! luv ya!
